FREE Ear Health Check appointments throughout February!

In support of Tinnitus Week 2025, which runs from 3-9 February, we are offering FREE Ear Health Check appointments during the whole of February. We use our state of the art Video Otoscope to examine your ears, before carrying out a hearing screening check. This will help us assess your ear health.

Open Day – Oticon Real

We’re delighted to announce our first Open Day of 2023 to showcase the brilliant new Oticon Real hearing aid. We’d like to invite you to our Scarborough centre on Monday 17^th April to experience Real for yourself. We’ll take you through all of Real’s features and benefits, explain the various accessories that are available, and show you how to pair the devices with your smartphone and use the new Oticon Companion app. There will be free refreshments, exclusive offers and discounts available if you attend an appointment on the day, as well as a chance to win some great prizes.

Open Days Return!

We are delighted to announce the return of our open days! 

The pandemic had halted our popular open days where we would showcase the latest developments in the hearing industry and bring them to you with special offers and exclusive discounts. However, with the fourth jab rollout in first part of the year, the falling infection rate in the second part of the year, and more of a return to some kind of normality, we feel the time has come to bring them back. We’ll still be taking precautions, for example by asking all attendees to wear a face covering if they can, and by allocating everyone a specific time slot and not accepting walk-ins.

The focus of this Year’s open days will be the Starkey Evolv AI range. Not only has it been this year’s best-selling hearing aid with the most advanced features, but Starkey are also about to add the first ever Bluetooth Completely-In-Canal (CIC) style to the range. This will be the world’s smallest Bluetooth enabled hearing aid and is an extremely exciting development in the hearing industry.

Job Vacancy - Part-Time Receptionist

We have a part-time receptionist role two days a week (Mondays & Fridays) working 9-5 at our office in Scarborough. The role is a job-share with another part-time receptionist. You will work on the reception desk greeting customers as they arrive for their appointments, deal with sales transactions and appointment bookings. You will also be dealing with phone enquiries and carrying out other reception and administrative duties.

Experience with data entry and Microsoft Office (in particular Word & Excel) is essential, as is a cheerful and positive outlook as you will be the first contact for most of our customers. A basic knowledge of ears and hearing is useful but not essential as training will be offered.

You will need to be flexible to cover annual leave of the other receptionist as overtime.

You will need to be available for interview on Monday 7th March.

Business Awards Finalists!

We're delighted to announce that we've been shortlisted as a finalist in the Small Business category of The Scarborough News Business Excellence Awards! Our small team of staff have worked incredibly hard this year and we look forward to the awards ceremony on the 2nd December. 

Scarborough Clinic Refurbishment

During the Summer we undertook a major refurbishment of our Scarborough office. We worked with Ultimate Interiors based in Cross Hills, West Yorkshire to design and create a smart, modern practice that offers our customers the hearing care experience they deserve. In July we closed the premises for four weeks to undertake the work. We temporarily moved our appointments to a room at The Health and Wellness Falgrave Clinic on Falsgrave Road in Scarborough. Thank you to Rita and the other health care practitioners for looking after us and our customers during these four weeks. 

We moved back into our Castle Road premises in the middle of August and have been delighted with the transformation. As well as our new interior, we have invested in a new and more spacious sound proof booth for carrying out hearing tests, as well as new testing equipment. The whole clinic has had an upgrade.

Irrigation now available in York

We have added a new irrigation machine to our existing microsuction wax removal service in York at Visioncare Optometry. This means we now have a complete wax removal service in York as we're able to clear your wax with suction, irrigation or dry removal. SCARBOROUGH CLINIC TEMPORARY RELOCATION

For the next few weeks, until 20th July, our Scarborough clinic has temprorarily relocated to Falsgrave Road while we carry out refurbishment work on our Castle Road office. We will be offering appointments from a room in the Health and Wellness Falsgrave Clinic, 65 Falsgrave Road, Scarborough, YO12 5EA. This is located just in front of Sainsburys and parking is available either on Falsgrave Road for an hour (disc parking), or you can park in Sainsburys car park and take the short walk through the cut-through onto Falsgrave Road. Then just turn left and the clinic is two doors down.
